What would you like to know about Purition?
Purition stands out because it's crafted from real, whole foods—not refined powders. Our blends are rich in natural protein, fibre, and healthy fats, making them incredibly satisfying. Many first-time users are pleasantly surprised by how full they feel.
Even though they can be used the same way, the real difference is in the ingredients we use. Other brands are made almost entirely of highly refined ingredients whereas Purition is made from whole food ingredients.
What do we mean by this Well, Purition contains actual Sunflower seeds (kernels) instead of powdered sunflower oil, real coconut instead of powdered oils derived from coconut, etc. Purition does not contain any gums, artificial sweeteners and flavourings, instead we opt for real, ground vanilla pods, freeze dried fruit, etc.
The best way to appreciate the difference between any products, is to look at/ compare the ingredients lists.
Here at Purition and in line with all health professionals, we believe that the calories you consume should come from real food, not highly refined powders. Purition is a simple product made with real food ingredients.
Purition is delicately flavoured with real food ingredients. It has a mildly nutty taste and texture, is not overly sweet and the differences between the flavours are subtle.
Our Original range tastes more nutty, while our Vegan range has an earthy taste due to the nature of plant based proteins. Unless you already follow a strict vegan diet, we recommend starting with Purition Original.
If you want to enhance any flavour notes, it's easy to do so at home - try adding some frozen berries, greens or spice like cinnamon or ground ginger. Something else to take in account is that the milk you choose makes a flavour difference, here are a few tips you might find helpful
All flavours are 75% made with our proprietary whole food blend which contains: whole ground golden linseed, sunflower kernels, almonds, coconut, pumpkin seeds, whole chia seeds and sesame seeds. 20% added unadulterated protein (choice of vegetarian or vegan proteins) and 5% added natural flavour notes (freeze dried fruit, nuts, cocoa, coffee, etc).
We don't use anything artificial, no preservatives, additives or anything like that.
Purition is real food so you can just have it whenever it suits your schedule best.
We recommend having Purition as your first meal of the day just because it is an easy habit to incorporate to your daily routine. We know that some customers prefer having Purition for lunch as this is the meal of the day they were struggling with the most.
Others have a bigger breakfast and lunch and then Purition as a light evening meal. So it is really up to you!
The most important thing is to have Purition daily or at least 5 or 6 times a week, so we can help you to make a positive impact on your overall diet. One shake once a week will not be enough to help you make significant dietary change.
Purition is super easy to use—and it’s versatile, too! If you’re new here, we recommend trying it in these three delicious ways:
- Blend it for a shake: Mix 200-250ml of milk with Purition to make a nourishing shake.
- Stir it into yoghurt: Add it to a small pot of yogurt for a quick and easy yogurt bowl.
- Mix it for porridge: Combine with a dash of hot water or milk to create your own instant porridge.
No, you shouldn't replace all of your meals with Purition. We care for your health and will always follow nutrition science instead of trying to sell more.
Purition is real food, not a total meal replacement. It's made from whole food ingredients and is high in fibre, a great source of protein and contains healthy mono- and polyunsaturated fats.
But Purition – on its own – will not provide all the necessary nutrients you need for optimal health. This is expected with any real food – in fact, no single food item can ever provide all the nutrients you need for a healthy diet.
On top of this, having Purition for all 3 of your daily meals would be severely restricting your calorie intake – a practice that we actively discourage. Losing more than 1-2lbs per week is not healthy or maintainable in the long run. Most importantly, you could end up potentially malnourished with a compromised immune system.
We suggest having Purition once a day (or twice, if you find that you have a particularly busy day) and healthy, balanced meals the rest of the time. If weight loss is your goal, make sure to check out ‘how to maximise healthy eating for weight loss’.
As we don’t use unnatural emulsifiers, gums or milk/cream powders, we usually recommend blending Purition with milk. However, this doesn’t mean that you can’t blend Purition with water.
Some helpful tips if you are blending Purition with water:
- Add some frozen fruits or ice.
- Add a dollop of yoghurt for a bit more creaminess.
- Use half milk and half water.
If you blend it with just milk it will be of course creamier, thicker plus it will have additional nutrients and be more filling!
Our recommendation would be to try it for yourself and see which one you prefer.
Also useful to remember that you can always enjoy Purition as porridge - simply add a dash of hot water and mix. Or stir a serving of Purition into 125-150g of Greek yoghurt to make a delicious yoghurt bowl.
Yes, all of our flavours are naturally low in carbohydrate but high in fibre to support blood sugar balance. According to our own tests and lots of positive customer feedback, Purition has a negligible impact on blood sugar levels.

Yes, absolutely! Purition is suitable for low-carb and keto lifestyles. With around 2-4g carbs per serving (alongside 16g of protein and 12g fat), Purition brings all the health benefits of a low-carb meal.
All Purition products contain ALMONDS which are TREE NUTS (not peanuts) and SESAME seeds, both of which are allergens.
Other TREE NUTS used on the same equipment are Hazelnuts, Macadamia nuts, Walnuts, Pistachios and Pecans. This means that Purition is not suitable for you if you have a severe tree nut allergy or a sesame allergy.
All Purition products are GLUTEN FREE and COELIAC SAFE. Chai Latte, Pecan & Cinnamon and Pumpkin Spice contain CINNAMON.
Purition Original has to be listed as containing the allergen MILK, however, please be aware that the amount of milk or lactose is equivalent to a lick of an ice-cream or sip of tea with milk in it. If that would not upset your stomach, neither will Purition.
Vegan Purition is naturally dairy free and made on totally separate equipment in a different section of the factory so there is no chance of cross contamination.
Yes, Purition can be utilised as part of a low fodmap way of eating. (Pistachio's are not low fodmap, so just avoid this flavour.)
The protein that we use in our Original range is in isolate form, which means that it has been filtered to remove the lactose (the sugar carbohydrate found in milk) making it easier to digest and absorb in the gut.
The hemp, pea and sunflower proteins in our Vegan range are also low fodmap as is the pea protein that we use, although peas themselves are considered to be high fodmap.
